NEMEDIAN ROYAL GUARD

I can't quite get my head round these figures. In Royal Armies of the Hyborian Age the Nemedian Guard are described as wearing archaic armour and the Garrison figures are Classical looking (but why have a Gorgons head on the shield?), but I can't recall these guys in any of the books. Heigh ho, they were fun to paint.

  1. Great looking unit you have there regardless of the ins and outs of the book etc. They look like they deserve a + 2 bonus .

  2. A very nice Roman/Greek style look (Lunars in Runequest?). I agree, I don't think REH described these guys, but they look like they should be in Hyboria, nevertheless.

  3. I don't remember these guys in any of the original books either. I'm guessing it's something either from one of Lin Carter's stories of fluff he wrote for RAOHA. Either way they're nice figs and will look great on the battle field. I was actually thinking of using Warlord Games' Praetorian Guard for these guys.
