PRIESTS OF SET

Some inhabitants for a planned Temple of Set, two priests from the Minifigs SS range.

I really like the Anubis type mask which reminds me of Suthek from the Doctor Who story 'Pyramids of Mars' (that scared the life out of me).

  2. "Sure is stuffy under these animal masks." Splendid priests, sir. I look forward to more about the temple.

  4. Cool! I got to meet Gabriel Woolf, the actor who played Sutekh in Doctor Who Pyramids of Mars.

This is a great blog by the way, I hope you return to posting soon!
It's unfortunate Garrison closed up shop soon after I discovered them, I was planning on using their minis for my Hyborian gaming too.

    1. Hi Chad, thanks for the comments and great to have you on board. I regularly look at Maximum Rock and Role Play for Hyborian information and ideas. I have all the figures purchased for about every nation, it's just time that is the old enemy. Juggling other projects as well as work and 3 kids. Anyhow, I will get there in the end so keep an eye out.

  6. Arrived here rather late, but good to see someone with the same interest as me and in Somerset, I am 6 mile SW of Yeovil. In addition to all my other projects in the Wargames Shed, I have two concurrent S&S projects, Minifigs (To be used with the Fantastic Battles Rules) and Garrison to be used with Royal Armies.. Building up on what I started in the 70s I have managed to make contact with Rob Young, interesting what you say about summer casting! If your project is still ago, let me know - nickdives4@hotmail.com or message via my FB page Tales from the Wargames Shed, cheers for more inspiration, Nick

    1. Hi Nick. Thanks for getting in touch. I'm quite a way North of you near Bath. Bear in mind this post is 8 years old. I'm not sure of Rob is casting for customers any more as he has been seriously ill. I'd love to get the SS range into production again ( I already own Hinchliffe fantasy), but ATM Rob is still keen on keeping the rights... If he changes his mind I'd jump at them. I'll take a look at your posts..Tales from the Wargames Shed sounds familiar.

  7. Cheers for the swift reply! Bath is not that far, although the last time I went I was saddened that the Sausage shop in Green St had shut down. Yes shame about Rob, in his message to me he indicated that he will do limited casting for collectors and folks needing a few extra troops for their armies, when and if he is casting for himself! Semi retirement leads to new projects, hence a returned interest in the Garrison S&S chaps, a load of which are now in a plastic tub, enjoying a biostrip bath!
